Ahh, the simple life.  I think it’s something we all crave at some time or another isn’t it?  This saying is one that is most prevalent in Costa Rica, not just as a saying but as a code for their way of living.  Costa Rica has one of those “Blue Zones” – an area where people tend to live to be 100 years old.  What’s their secret?  Among other things, a simple life, one that is quite laid back.  Of course it helps if you live in a beautiful area with sunny climes – something hard to find in the depths of winter in Canada.  Don’t get me wrong snow and sunshine can be beautiful – -24C on the other hand?  Not so much!

Having spent my career in System Integration, generally in cold labs or in front of computers, Pura Vida has a special ring for me.  In fact I would say embracing an old craft such as letter carving has enabled me to embrace a simpler life.  Sure I’m still on a computer to share it with you but the bulk of my day is not in front of one!  Result!

Pura Vida can be updated to include screws and hanging wire on the back if you prefer to hang this piece in your oasis, whether it be indoor or outdoor.
