Honouring a lovely man …

Throughout our lives we meet lots of people, some we don’t care to meet more than once, but sometimes you meet people who are just lovely.  Maybe you don’t see them that often in your life but they always appear with a genuine sweet smile.  That’s a description of a relative who passed away last year.  He lived to 84 and no matter what was going on in his life he had a good mantra – choose to be happy.  He was so right. There’s plenty to get upset about these days but better to live our lives happy.

To honour him I’ve carved this very mantra into limestone.  The letters dance in place representing the spirit of the phrase and the smile that used to play across his lips.
